Job Summary

Yathu SACCO is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill the position of Office Assistant in our Lilongwe office.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Filing office documents in proper date order.
  • Collection and delivery of mails and documents for signing from one office to another.
  • Preparing requisitions for office supplies and assisting in procurement of office materials.
  • Maintaining office cleanliness and ensuring office items are kept in their proper places.
  • Assisting members with form filling and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Responding to enquiries from members and visitors professionally and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Preparing and serving tea to staff members.
  • Performing computer data entry and capturing duties.
  • Assisting in updating deposits, shares, and loan records in ledgers and passbooks.
  • Maintaining the staff timebook and ensuring all employees sign for attendance.
  • Ensuring safe custody of office files and utensils.
  • Assisting in the preparation of death claims documentation.
  • Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Honest, hardworking, and trustworthy.
