OVERVIEW

ACAFIN (Acades Finance) is seeking a qualified and motivated Loan Officer to join our team in Ntchisi.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct interviews with loan applicants to gather comprehensive financial and personal information.
• Assess creditworthiness by reviewing financial backgrounds, references, credit history, and income verification.
• Prepare and complete all loan documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Recommend approval or rejection of loan applications based on thorough credit assessments and institutional guidelines.
• Promote ACAFIN credit and loan products to prospective clients.
• Maintain, review, and regularly update loan and credit files.
• Prepare and manage statements for overdue accounts.
• Negotiate repayment terms with clients and ensure timely collections.
• Conduct follow-ups and recover loans as they fall due to maintain portfolio quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience working with a microfinance institution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and microfinance management software.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Valid motorcycle riding license.
