Job Summary

The Canteen Manager will oversee nutritional standards in the development, formulation, and evaluation of food products produced by the company. The role ensures that staff meals meet regulatory nutrition requirements and government food safety regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and review nutritionally balanced foods for staff
  • Ensure compliance with national food safety and nutrition standards
  • Monitor food quality and recommend improvements based on dietary needs of staff
  • Provide guidance on food fortification and dietary requirements
  • Keep up to date with current nutrition research and regulatory developments

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Dietetics, Hospitality management or related field
  • Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food production. Experience as Chef in a large organization will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and nutritional standards
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
