Job Summary

The position is tenable in Blantyre. Applicants should have a Diploma in Front Office Management or its equivalent. They should have at least three years’ experience in a similar position in a very busy and reputable organization. The candidate should have exceptional organization, interpersonal skills and knowledge of front office operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful person will among other things be responsible for:

  • Welcome visitors and direct them to the appropriate offices.
  • Ensuring that all switchboard lines are working and reporting those malfunctioning ensuring that the reception and switchboard are always manned.
  • Answering calls from both internal and external customers in a timely, efficient and polite manner.
  • Maintaining employee and department directories
  • Ensuring that switchboard telephone lines are not being abused
    Ensuring that visitors have been issued with visitors’ badge
  • Maintaining security procedures by not just letting a person enter the offices without proper verification

Minimum Qualifications Required

To effectively discharge the above responsibilities, the desired person should be mature and must have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
