About the Company
Salima Sugar Co. Ltd. owns about 4,000 hectares of land and currently, 1,000 hectares of land is under cultivation. The farm and factory are located next to Lake Malawi which is the second largest lake in Africa Drip, flood and pivot irrigation is used for sugarcane crop depending on its suitability. Currently, the capacity of the factory is 1250 TCD this can be expanded to 1850 TCD.
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring efficient nventory management, and leading a team to meet organizational goals. They are in charge of receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, as well as managing staff, safety, and compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory levels, monitoring stock, and optimizing storage space.
- Staff Supervision: Training, and supervising warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, complying with relevant regulations, and implementing security procedures.
- Budget Management: Preparing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and analysing variances.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues, escalating problems as needed, and implementing continuous improvement projects.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Educational Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from an accredited University coupled with 5 years’ experience on the same position.
