Throughout its existence, Centenary Bank Limited has achieved noteworthy milestones, including being the pioneer in establishing a bank within the Dzaleka refugee camp. Moreover, the bank has successfully carved a niche in the SME sector and emerged as the leading lender to government employees. Forming strategic partnerships with esteemed organizations such as UNHCR and WFP further strengthens Centenary Bank’s stature.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Network Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the bank’s core network infrastructure: making sure that the network is up all the time, identifying and rectifying any bottlenecks within the network that may compromise the network and applications performance which can lead to delays in business delivery to customers.
This is a fixed-term employment that will run from 1st June 2025 to 30th November, 2025 primarily to cover for a fixed term absence of the incumbent.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Configuring the network (LAN and WAN)
2. Reviewing existing computer and network performance
3. Network maintenance and troubleshooting
4. Computer network cabling, configuration of routers and switches
5. Monitoring the bank’s LAN and WAN and taking corrective action
6. Setting network security and access control in collaboration with Cyber Security Department
Educational Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution with bias in telecommunications, data communication and computer networking
- Any of the following network certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Three (3) years of administration experience in Network
- Experience in financial services sector in general and in banking in particular
