Site Engineer (x2)
Job Description
Mandau Contractors Limited, a growing construction company based in Ntcheu, Malawi, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Site Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction works on site.
- Ensure works are executed according to drawings, specifications, and approved work programmes.
- Monitor quality, workmanship, materials, and construction progress.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
- Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project personnel.
- Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance on site.
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records, measurements, and documentation.
- Assist with project quantities, measurements, and progress assessments.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, consultants, and client representatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional registration will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable experience in building construction and site supervision.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong communication, reporting, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering/construction software will be an added advantage.
