Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the Project Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) project activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement project activities in line with approved work plans and budgets
- Support community mobilization and stakeholder engagement
- Provide technical support to caregivers, teachers, and community structures
- Monitor project progress and collect data for reporting
- Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in project implementation, preferably in ECCD or community development
- Strong understanding of integrated early childhood development programming
- Experience working with communities, NGOs, or development partners
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to work with people with mental health conditions
- Commitment to the organization’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy
